Qualification and Experience
University degree, preferably in business or related field. Relevant professional accountancy qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, ACMA) preferably obtained with a leading European or US based (big $) accountancy firm. 5-8 yeas relevant experience of audit/accounting experience. 4+ years post qualification experience with Big 4 auditor preferably based in Europe, or USA. Responsibilities
Plan and complete individual audit assignments covering predominately the payment processing, procurement, housing, general services side of the business operations, as set out in the annual audit plan. Plan and complete individual audit assignments based on maters raised by Operating Expenses Assurance Section of IAD. Work closely with OEAS to understand control issues raised by them and raise appropriate remedial actions, after close collaboration with the concerned department(s) to close such control issues outside of routine audit assignments. Assist on investment audits where the mandates, minutes or memos have been written in Arabic. Undertake audit visits to Arabic speaking external managers and subsidiary companies. Provide input to annual risk assessment process. Identify and define audit issues, review and analyse evidence and document process and procedures. Conduct interviews, review documents, develop and administer surveys, compose summary memos, and prepare working papers. Identify, develop and document audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed. Communicate or assist in communicating the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management and various committees. Develop and maintain productive client and staff relationships though individual contacts and group meetings. Pursue professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association membership, and share information gained with co-workers. May represent Internal Audit on project teams, at management meetings and with external organization. Provide or assist in providing training, coaching, and guidance to Internal Audit staff in conducting audits and other audit related issues. Carry out system testing as per the departments internal audit programs. Interrogate the databases using specialist audit software. Evaluate the results of the test and identify potential control weaknesses. Prepare written audit reports presenting the audit findings and negotiate risk ratings with departments. Discuss and agree the findings with line management and agree corrective action to be taken. Follow up on planned corrective action. Carry out ad-hoc assignments as requested by Internal Audit Department management. Mentor new Emirati graduates in to BAS. Assist the Audit Committee secretariat, as required. Carryout other duties as required.
